Wow. November is bringing feelings of stress and frustration....I knew i didn't want Octobler to end for a reason... So, as all those who have had roommates know...stupid, dumb little things can send you over the edge! Last night, i was walking to that cliff edge. My roommate has a little, personal heater; you know the one that has blown the fuses twice already and that costs a buttload to have on. Yes, those ones. Well, i still don't have a job, and i do not want to pay for it. But, she's also been turning on the heat.....it's still 70 outside and not cold...I realize she's from africa and that cold is a different thing, but there are things you can do before turning the heat on in november (oh, and this was also happening in oct); such as more clothes: yes that means no more booty shorts, a blanket, turning off the ceiling fan, etc. I tried to talk to her about this last night and she didn't take it so well. Thankfully, i have a class project that i could use as a reason for not having the heat on right now. Argh. It's just frustrating dealing with Lesedi. I have considered selling my contract many times....Anyway, last night i was on the couch typing up my homework, when all of the sudden, out of the corner of my eye i see something move. I look down and it's one of those big nasty brown spiders right by my knee.....so i start screaming (at the top of my lungs) and i toss my comp to the other side of me and try to stand up, and the spider has the nerve to crawl on me like my screaming was an invitation. So i stand up and he falls back on the couch and my roommate comes out and kills him. It was awful....AWFUL! It's like one of my worst fears to have a spider on me; my heart still pounds thinking about it. ew. So, after all these terrible feelings from last night, Skyler came over and we watched Get Smart. Skyler is quickly becoming my really good friend....We talk about everything, and i'm really happy having him around.

On a side note, i'm doing much better at rock climbing! On monday in class i completed 2 routes. I was very proud of myself. I'm still learning to trust my feet and hands, but dang it's tough! I can't hold on unless the hold is huge and has a place for my fingers to really hold onto....i'll be amazed if the day comes that i am using my finger tips to hold on....

I am sure this will come out wrong, but foreign roommates are the hardest to live with. They say you should try to marry someone from the same background and well living with someone should be even more so, cause you don't love your roommates. Krista and I lived one semester with a Sweedish chick, Lotta. She was a "whole lotta woman!" She used to eat breakfast in the bath, EW! I say sell!!!

I don't miss living with 5 other girls, that's for sure! And SPIDERS ARE THE MOST AWFUL THING ON THIS PLANET!

I for sure know how the roommate thing goes. Just last week I had a chat with my roommate explaining that while I understand that she's making less money now than before, there are still apt expenses that she needs to contribute to and that perhaps the next time she complains about wanting cable or considers buying new shoes, she should set some of that money aside so she can pay her portion of the expenses. . .sigh oh roommates.

I feel sorry for you. I agree with the other comments, foreign roommates are the hardest!
